water supplies

I was listening to coast to coast late last night in the car, and they were talking about our water supplies are getting low, I found this article about it.

Looks like we're pretty safe here. My only fear now is sinking in my yard. The soil is utterly saturated with water, I have a stream crossing my land and the hillside is literally alive with springs.

I would like to rig some kind of "bucket", more like a length of pipe with a check-flap at the end, kinda like what my great grandmother had to remove water from my deep well in the event of a power failure.

What might be of greater concern to us is that fact that agricultural yields are expected to drop while we've been foolishly converting corn to fuel. The Chinese have a heck of a soveriegn fund with which to bid up the cost of food. We've just put some grains and a Country Living Mill on order.

Madcow this might be kind of scary that we both listen to Coast to Coast I'm a big Art Bell fan and it's a shame he is not on all the time now but George is doing a fine job wouldn't you say? I have actually talked to him I was one of the lucky ones who got through on his show in the mid 90's. The topic was about Commerce Secretary Ron Brown and to this day I believe the plane crash was no accident. Now back to the water issue it's also kind of scary that they are finding drugs in the water perhaps that is whats wrong with the kids today

So tell me more about Brown, have not heard about this story before.
