We now have proof that the war in Iraq was for oil with the Iraqi Hydrocarbon Act. This bill will give the United States the power to blackmail Iraq to gain their oil. It forces Iraq to privatize their oil.
If this happens, Iraq will be the only country in the Middle East that does not maintain government control of its own oil industry and the wealth of Iraq will no longer benefit the people of Iraq.
And this is why we went to war! To steal Iraq’s oil.
