- By telling us we need to get lives! DUH that is rude, so you opened yourself up and then could not handle it. Remember when you are on a forum where you will not be banned or deleted you must be prepared for backlash.......
Who, exactly did I tell to get a life? My exact quote was "maybe some people have a life" Was I speaking to you specifically? No. That you chose to take it personally is your problem, not mine. Ditto for CT. It was meant as a light-hearted comment(that's why the emote was on it). You people took it wayyyy too seriously. Again, I have not been rude, but others have. You won't get an apology from me. I don't owe anybody in here one.

| I post once in awhile over at boxtown, but I can't keep up with the threads. And I don't feel like reading all of them to get caught up. Here you don't have to swim miles to get to the other side of a topic. Here, I can dog paddle my way! LOL
I agree. boxtown may lose it's appeal.

| MC just said it in a more pleasant way and seeing as I was not the only one that took offense to it; I am not being over sensitive. I did not apologize....Get over it. | |

I am sorry I took offense to you saying some people have lives --It was very insinuating but whatever dude. Looked like an apology to me. Maybe you have a different definition of "I am sorry" than I do.

| It seem to me you are here for one reason, and that is to antaginize? Doesn't work as well over here, as it did over at the TB. Most of us are here to share information, and rant about things that upset us.
As of yet, I don't think you have ever started a topic. We will be more than glad to hear your take on what is going on in the world. Tell me BF, just what do you think of lets say HR 45?

| Here's the info from an email I got this morning about this bill (in case some readers may not have heard of it before): Subject: Fw: Blair Holt Firearm Licensing & Record of Sale Act of 2009. Sent: Sunday, February 15, 2009 3:54 PM Subject: Blair Holt Firearm Licensing & Record of Sale Act of 2009.
Once again, a question of our Constitutional Rights....
It would appear, that this is the beginning, of the erosion of our freedoms!
Information on the bill under consideration to restrict ownership & registration of firearms.
Have you got this in your scope?
Very Important for you to be aware of a new bill, "HR 45" being introduced into the House.
This is the "Blair Holt Firearm Licensing & Record of Sale Act of 2009". We just learned
yesterday about this, on the Peter Boyles radio program. Even gun shop owners didn't know
about this, because it's carefully flying under the radar. To find out about this - go to any gov't
website & type in "HR 45", or just Google "HR 45 Blair Holt Firearm Licensing & Record of
Sales Act of 2009". You'll get all the information. Basically, this would make it illegal to
own a firearm - including any rifle with a clip, or ANY pistol regardless of type, unless: - It is registered.
- You are fingerprinted (and 'cleared' to own one).
- You supply a current Driver's License.
- You supply your Social Security Number.
- You submit to a physical & mental evaluation, at any time of their choosing.
- Each update - change - or ownership - through private, or public sale, must be reported,
& costs $25. Failure to do so, & you automatically lose the right to own a firearm!!
& you're subject to up to a year in jail!!!!!
- There's also a children's clause, on page 16 section 305, stating that as a child-access
provision, any gun in your home, or under your supervision, must be locked, & inaccessible
to any child under 18.
They (gov't) would have the right to come & inspect your premises, to see that you are
storing your gun safely, & away from accessibility by children, & if not, the fine is actually
punishable by up to 5 yrs. in prison.
If you think this is a joke - go to the website & take your pick of many options to read this.
It is very long & very "wordy", but, more & more people are becoming aware of this. Pass
the word along. Any hunters in your family MUST BE TOLD - - - - pass this to them, too.
Peter Boyles is on this, & having guests. You can listen to him on KHOW, 6:30 a.m.
He suggests the best way to fight this, is to tell all your friends about it & then "spring into
action". Also, he suggests we all join a pro-gun group, like the Colorado Rifle Association,
or other hunting associations, gun clubs & especially, the NRA. This is a just a "termite"
approach, to complete confiscation of guns & disarming of our society, to the point that we
have no defense - - - - chip away a little here & there, until the goal is accomplished, before
anyone realizes it. This is one to act on, whether you own a gun, or not.
If you take my gun, only the criminal will have one, to use against me.
HR 45 only makes me (us) less safe.
After working with convicts for 26 yrs I know this bill, if passed, would make them happy,
& in much less danger from their intended victims.

I came in here, made a joke and got attacked. I said essentially the same thing in my post that you did a post or two later-the difference is, you are part of the clique that runs this forum, and I am not. When I find a reason to start a topic, I will do so. Until then, I see no reason to clutter up the forum with relatively unimportant topics which have been adequately covered in other topics.

| Cat: The government will not do away with the 2nd, but will make it so people can not afford to have a gun. Smart on their part, like Obama saying no new taxes, and adding new taxes to smokes, gas and beer, carbon, and I'm sure alot of new taxes will show up.
I heard on Cnn that to pay for this bailout, income taxes will have to be 95%.
The government know roits are on their way, just look in FLa, and the line of people looking for housing, and fights broke out, this is just a start. They know they need to control the people, when, not if, when food shortages come. Sad what this country has become!

Works for me! Ohio madman, my opinions here - if you post a bit more then we can learn more about you and know if you're teasing or not. And maybe find some common ground to discuss or some things that we don't agree on to dabate on. You're a mystery right now! I know some of the members here off the forum so I know how far I can go in teasing them without making them mad. Easyrider is a nice guy or he would have stomped me for that video! On HR45 - I don't think it will pass. But it does tick me off that something like this would even be proposed.

| Something like it gets proposed every term in Congress. Most of the time it never makes it out of committee, because they know it will be vetoed. The current Congress is getting farther with it because they think B.O. will sign it. What needs to be done is for people to flood their congressman's and Senators' mailboxes, phone lines and inboxes to let them know that bill is opposed. If they want to be re-elected, they can't vote for it if they are made aware of the opposition. I don't know if Space supports it or not, but I'll bet he does. I intend to ask him next chance I get. | |
