| What this hell is up with all these parents killing and hurting thier children? Another story in the TB today. And if you watch the Big Bitch Nancy Grace, you see more stories about child killings. Have we all gone nuts or what? | |

| Yes MC looks like the child abuse and killings have had the an ultimate high in Coshocton county. I read the sad story on the little Patterson baby girl, along with the sweetest picture in the TB of her, those eyes alone. Was the mother ever married to any of the fathers? And why would a mother leave a child until 2:30am in morning with a "boyfriend". ( they say a job???) By reading the obit, there is a array of family members, some good and some no so good. I do know the real grandda, he always worked to pay his child support, and was a horse shoer around coshocton, holmes county.....What's also sad is that the real father has had parenting issues in the past. This poor little child was surrounded by dysfunctional people. As having past experience with coshocton co. children services, I personally know they are not to aggressive on child abuse investigations, I think more out of fear for themselves. It used to take hours to get the on call counselor to a facilty when an alleged abuse was in the building. When I called it was at least 2-3 hours before they showed, it was hard retaining parents. But one used to come like she had taken hours to get ready, perfect makeup clothes etc....then she did nothing. Childrens' services need to get tough and put some fear in these parents! I can only pray that this mother will take a long hard look at herself and her life after this sad loss of life.........As for the guy that did it well we all know where he can go. | |

| Maybe this will stop all the ranting on the TB forum about how great Coshocton is? Coshocton is just like any other town. Drugs, child abuse, and no jobs. | |

| The problem with the parents is they are trash. They don't know how to take care of themselves let alone a little baby. They should take the pieces of shit to the courthouse and let the people of this town beat the hell out of them. The Holdsworth scum bag will get what he deserves in prison. | |

| Did anyone see on the TB about the baby being ok, the one that was reported to be in bad shape and the mother arrest for abuse? Has anyone seen the comments? Worth a look. I wonder what the true is? Is the baby ok? And if so why is that mom still in jail? I had to laugh at some of the comments about the TB's reporting on this story. Does anyone here know if the baby is home and ok? Seems with this story the truth is hard to know. Seems like the TB would have done a follow up on the story. | |

| I have dealt with Children Services before. What a joke! After their investigation they told my daughter and I that a parent has a right to discipline a child as long as it wasn't excessive or leaves marks. Then they asked her if she knew how to dial 911 if needed. Mind you, one person was not a parent, just married to the father. And never mind all the trouble it caused my daughter after the investigation and I had to send her back! I think that if a child gets hurts or worse and children services has been involved, they should also be held responsible for what happens. There is no way they do all that they can for the children or the families who are trying to keep their kids safe! Just my opinion from my experience | |

| Oh yeah, and if I would have done to them, what they did to my daughter, I would have went straight to jail. | |

| I remember about 20 years ago, my x-mother in law call them on me. She told them I was doing witchcraft and burning candles. They came to my door and said they wanted to make sure I was burning candles safely. LOL You would think they would have better things to do, but that's our government hard at work. | |
